Confirmed from Lake Hiawatha Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Had a nice Memorial day celebration. The Oaks are beautiful with moss. There are lots of birds and squirrels. Playground for the wee ones. Lots of folks walking thier dogs. But there are yellow flies with mean bites! Bug spray recommended.

Super clean and nice people. Walking around has been. A joy and the air is very fresh and clean. Bathrooms everywhere.

★★★★★ — Cloud , Sep 2025

Park is kid & disc golf friendly on west side of highway. Shade abounds. Nice playground & dedicated dog park. Restrooms & pavillion. On East side are more pavillians, restrooms, fishing pier & pier for small personal watercraft. Multi purpose trail runs along one side of park near 2 lane hwy.

This park has lots of good shade and walking trails. Playground only way to the single slide is the spiral staircase. Only two swings. Not a lot for the kids to do. Includes a see-saw. The disc golf course is really well kept but extremely popular. Had to wait in line to play. Lots of beautiful large trees.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 24 mentions

“There is a nice park/play area for kids, picnic pavilion, nice clean restrooms, dog park, and frisbee golf course.”
