Confirmed from Lake Hiawatha Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Pet-friendly preserve featuring a playground, walking paths and a lake.
What runners say about Lake Hiawatha Preserve

“Beautiful place, there for the park run and the area was simply beautiful, very worth a visit IF YOU ARE HERE FOR THE PARK RUN, CHECK THE START TIME!”
“We took our dog today to the dog park and we loved it; well kept, big shaded area, full of trees.”
“Lake Hiawatha Preserve is a beautiful and peaceful spot to enjoy nature!”
Had a nice Memorial day celebration. The Oaks are beautiful with moss. There are lots of birds and squirrels. Playground for the wee ones. Lots of folks walking thier dogs. But there are yellow flies with mean bites! Bug spray recommended.
Super clean and nice people. Walking around has been. A joy and the air is very fresh and clean. Bathrooms everywhere.
Park is kid & disc golf friendly on west side of highway. Shade abounds. Nice playground & dedicated dog park. Restrooms & pavillion. On East side are more pavillians, restrooms, fishing pier & pier for small personal watercraft. Multi purpose trail runs along one side of park near 2 lane hwy.
This park has lots of good shade and walking trails. Playground only way to the single slide is the spiral staircase. Only two swings. Not a lot for the kids to do. Includes a see-saw. The disc golf course is really well kept but extremely popular. Had to wait in line to play. Lots of beautiful large trees.
