Confirmed from Lake Josephine County Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Country park with a picnic area, beach, boat launch, playground, and fishing.
What runners say about Lake Josephine County Park
“The lake is reasonably clean and it's a popular spot, but doesn't seem to get too noisy or crowded.”
“It sits right across from a Dairy Queen, perfect for a cold treat or maybe to have a picnic on a beautiful Summer day.”
“For a peaceful summer afternoon of eating ice cream from the DQ across the road and watching moms wade with their toddlers while the clouds go by, there's no place better.”
Nice lakefront park. Not too big and I wish there was a path along the lakeside that continued outside the park. There's a boat landing, playground and picnic tables/benches. The restroom building is open only in the summer, I guess, but there was a porta-potty available.
Great location to enjoy an outing...BBQ, fishing, and hiking trails are all available there. Don't expect much in the area of fishing as the lakes are not maintained by F&G.
Nice little park. It appears to be well kept but not large for a nice long walk. It's perfect if you just want a short walk. There is a boat launch and beach area.
One of my favorite public beaches to hang out at! Plenty of room on the grassy hill to set up your beach chair and enjoy the sun and a good book. The lake is reasonably clean and it's a popular spot, but doesn't seem to get too noisy or crowded. Easy parking and on-site bathrooms are a plus too.
