Confirmed from Lake Roland Nature Council's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Multifaceted green space with trails, pavilions, waterfront activities & an off-leash dog park.

“I have to honestly say that Lake Roland is DEFINITELY the Most Beautiful Park there is in the state of Maryland and also in Baltimore County.”
“Easy walk to see lots of wildlife - deer, geese, ducks, foxes, turkeys, etc.”
This park is a lovely hidden gem. Lots of well maintained and shaded trails with art installations along the man made lake. The small nature center was really interesting. They have a great playground for kids and a dog park. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
I'm a walker & Lake Roland is one of my favorite places to walk & sometimes just sit and enjoy the sounds of birds, children's laughter and the water falls.
Beautiful park with a waterfall and a few trails... Will highly recommend taking bug/bee repellent
Fun, free and fabulous views from hills, bridges over waterfalls and rivers. Huge covered picnic shelter for parties or a rain shower. Nature center indoors is great for the kids. Be advised that the walk from the parking lot is scenic but a bit of a hike.
