Confirmed from Lake Susan Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picnic, playgrounds, sports fields (including a baseball field and a volleyball court), plus a lake, a basketball court and hiking trails.
What runners say about Lake Susan Park
“Spacious, well maintained park with covered picnic area, boat launch, hiking/bike trail, and fishing dock.”
“Nice Park with excellent baseball facilities and several play structures for kids of all ages.”
I love to walk around the lake on the trail. It takes about 40min to an hour to walk around depending upon your walking speed. Most of the trail is woods. The trees form an arch overhead, lots of wild life and cool on a hot day. After your walk cool off on one of the picnic benches near Lake Susan Park.
Lovely park. Stopped for a playground trip to burn some energy for an hour. Even the baby got to get out of the stroller and walk around a bit and go thru the tunnels & swing, he just started walking a week ago, so the squishy ground on the playground was pretty generous to him!
Spacious, well maintained park with covered picnic area, boat launch, hiking/bike trail, and fishing dock.
They have a digital scoreboard, that's a plus, but whoever was running it only kept track of the runs and the innings. Better than most other fields with no scoreboards I guess. Our game was 90 minutes behind schedule but the field was in good shape.
Trail conditions & character
“Porta-Potties are clean and there is a handicapped one and a standard one.”
“Great place with soft rubber on the ground for the kids instead of wood chips or gravel.”
“There is a shelter you can rent for parties plus a working drinking fountain.”
