Confirmed from Lake Wright Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lake Wright Trail
“Nice scenic walking trail but it's also posted NO FISHING.”
didn't know this was here until today, I wanted to release my butterflies in a garden but didn't want to pay a fee for a momentary trip to the botanical gardens, but I found some wild ones along this trail! Hopefully they can find a good home here, short flying distance to the airport and botanical gardens.
Came out here for a little jog while I'm staying in a nearby hotel. Nice path for walking or running. 1.31 mile loop around the lake. There's a small parking area near Northampton Blvd just for the trail, so you don't have to drive all through the outlet mall.
Such a peaceful little hideaway this is. Though you can hear the interstate traffic, the beauty of this hidden peace of nature can calm the sounds. Beautiful lakes fully off Lily pads, stunning views all around the trail of the lake, the mature trees, sprigs of wild flowers popping in between the grasses, with…
I must first note that they definitely need to improve their signage of the trail entrance[s]. It's not sufficiently marked. But once I kind of found where it 'started' I was good to go. It's not a very long trail; a little less than 1.5 miles if you're creative. It's a Beautiful scenic walk on a gravel path.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
