Confirmed from Lakeview Loop Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly park with scenic overlooks offering wide-ranging views.
What runners say about Lakeview Loop Trail
“Why It’s a Must-Do • Incredible Sightlines: Most trails in the area are beautiful, but this one provides a unique perspective of the Ocoee region.”

The Lakeview Loop Trail in Chilhowee is a must-do for anyone who loves hiking and scenic views. The trail offers a peaceful walk through the woods, and as the name suggests, you get beautiful glimpses of the lake along the way.
One of if not my favorite overlooks in Tennessee. The road is paved and smooth so it’s accessible by any vehicle. There are multiple overlooks on the road that make this well worth the stop.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Unrivaled Views of Parksville Lake! If you are looking for a trail that offers a high-reward payoff without a grueling all-day trek, Lakeview Loop (near the Sugarloaf Mountain Park area) is a total gem.
I love this type of driving. Views were great when you could get to an observation lot. Please concentrate on driving. The drop off is steep & deep. If you dare, take Spring Creek Road. It goes for miles. Have good tires and brakes.
