Confirmed from Lakeview Trailhead (West)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Usually well maintained and ideal for riding.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Beautiful place to hike in the fall, on the south side of Newburgh lake.”

Great ride. Lots of trail. You can get to the skills park and the pump track, if you're willing to ride to it. Amazing this place exists in such a dense suburban area. Highly suggested. Emergency road for faster exit is a great feature.

Great little local trail for a quick MTB session. Flows really well. Make sure to link with Riverside for a well rounded outting. Slow life down a bit and hike it with your lady and let both of you enjoy a great out and back by the lake (4 miles in total).

★★★★★ — Matthew , May 2019

If you do the complete trail as it means to be its a 3 mile walk/run. Recommended for a walk, riding a bike or just having fun though the trail. Awesome view at some point and really close to the nature. My favourite spot for training in the trail.

★★★★★ — Edmundo , Sep 2025

Short but so sweet trail flowing with some berms and rocks to navigate also has some wood features. Great for any skill level. Trail runs in both directions in some sections so watch your speed.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
