What runners say about Lakewood Greenway
Nice local park with a 1.9 mile loop trail around a small lake. The greenway connects to the iconic Penguin Park on NE Vivion Road. Trail surface is concrete and loops around the lake and through trees and some open area.
Serene little offshoot of penguin park.. it’s just right down the sidewalk. There isn’t a playground here or any swings, have to go to penguin park for that but there are a lot of geese, turtles, people fishing and it’s in a safe area. There is an elementary school right across the street.
Beautiful park for walking, biking, dog-walking, fishing, or just sitting and enjoying nature. Sounds from the highway are pretty prevalent in some parts, but in others it's easy to escape into nature!
Great park! You can fish, bike, walk, etc. no playgrounds, but Penguin Park is right up the road. The people we encountered were very friendly.
