Confirmed from Lancaster City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lancaster City Park
“Two well maintained playgrounds and pristine landscaping.”
I took my three grandchildren here to play. The only downfall is that there is a hill to go down, and I'm an incomplete paraplegic on crutches, and it's a little hard for me to go down and coming up takes my breath away. My little people loved it! It's a comfortable place to just go sit and enjoy the outside scenery.
Im dogsitting so I brought the dog here to get in a good workout/run and he really had a great time. Nice area with division for both big and small dogs. Will definitely come again.
Clean, nice, and open park. Decent walking paths around the park (rugged terrain for dogs). Decent small and large dog park areas, no dog fountain, bunch of poop everywhere. Nice playgrounds, basketball courts, and tennis courts available.
Beautiful park with walking trails. Picnic tables and gazebos with grills, plus family restroom. Two well maintained playgrounds and pristine landscaping.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
