This is a great park hiking trails, picnic tables.I think there's even a grill. There's a place to put your boat in the water and park your truck. There's a softball field. There's really cute bridge that takes you across to the meadow , which takes you to the trail and it is very nice.
A vibrant park in Gainesville and off Lake Lanier. On the weekends, the parking lot and baseball fields are packed with student league games. Further down, there is a picnic shelter and tables overlooking the lake. The hiking path starts from the covered bridge and circumnavigates around the small island.
It is a Lake Park that you can go to without having to pay the federal Park fee because it is not a federal park on the lake. If you cross the covered bridge, there is a very very long Peninsula that you can walk along and enjoy the sunset on the western side of the peninsula and a lot of area to put in rafts and…
Great place to relax. It was clean. It was our first time. We were just checking it out on the way home. Unfortunately public bathrooms didn't work. We didn't go on the trails, since we didn't have enough time. Also we noticed the lake water was down.
