Confirmed from Longwood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic park on the water offering walking trails, playgrounds, picnic tables & tennis courts.

“I like coming here with my dog for early morning walks, and Wilshire trails is right across the street, so two wonderful parks to complete our morning walks is an awesome deal!”
I like this park. Is very family friendly, they are picnic tables and grills, a little playground for the small kids. And nice views of the lake. No dog Park and that’s a Minus, because we go with our dog everywhere. But there’s plenty of trails to walk.
Beautiful lake. Loved feeding the ducks. Plenty of walking trails, bathrooms & pic nic areas
This is one of my favorite parks!! Lots of shade to walk in. Very relaxing scenery!!! Beautiful views of the lake. Oh yeah and for all my pokemon go fans there are a ton of poke stops out here!!!

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
