Confirmed from Latourette Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

The trails through here are amazing... You can easily loose yourself in the woods without any real chance if getting lost. It's an amazing resource for Staten island , new York and fun. I can't recommend it enough. Also the trails allow for exploration and one to take a short hike or make it a more substantial one.

Great place to walk, run, relaxing, breathing fresh air and to take pictures, etc, etc! Beautiful....

★★★★★ — Porfy , Aug 2018

The blue trail makes it's way around the golf course and has some nice elevation gain. You can pick up the yellow trail if you don't want to use the gravel path on the blue trail. Then make your way further into the greenbelt. The trails are all marked and well maintained.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
