Confirmed from High Rock Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

The best kept secret on Staten Island. Come here to get away and take a quiet walk or run. Trails are always maintained and safe. Grab a map and go already.

We went to this park first time on a Sunday afternoon. It’s extremely quiet and peaceful. Since it’s not spring yet, the park was quite empty. It would be a lot nicer in a few weeks. We definitely enjoyed our time hiking here, and plan to come back again soon.

First time I've been to this place, was to hike around. I did some Cafe deliveries before coming here. It'll be great to come here in the springtime but for fall season it's very cold. I started taking some photos and making sure I was aware of my surroundings.

Took a bit to get there with the bus, especially when the driver didn't know anything about the park, but found it after a half hour of walking. Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
