Confirmed from Laurel Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Tranquil space with tennis courts, baseball fields and swimming pools, plus a playground for kids. Basketball court.

What runners say about Laurel Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (615 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Its open air feel and wide open spaces around the baseball fields and beautiful hill and lawn that serves as a practice soccer field are not to be taken for granted!”

Such a great park with tons of amenities. It has several large pavilions with tables. A pond with giant turtles. Playgrounds for big kids and interactive equipment for the little ones. Beautiful walking trails. A public swimming pool. Frisbee golf course. The list goes on.

Great playground. I was pleasantly surprised by all of the equipment on the playground. My toddler loved the music part and the pond. We saw baby ducks and turtles in the pond. Their is also a great walking trail.

Great park, good starter disc golf course, good trails for walking around. We hold a free men’s workout there at 5:30 am on Mondays and Thursdays- we always post an American flag at our workouts. F3

This is a nice park. The trails are paved for strollers and wheelchairs, although there are some hills to navigate. There's a modern playground for kids and a few shelters for parties. The pond has been redone and has a huge patio with benches.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Laurel Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.

Posted hours for the park or trailhead. Gates and parking lots often close earlier than the trail itself, and seasonal hours change — worth a check before a pre-dawn or after-dark run.
