Confirmed from Legacy Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wildlife refuge on the south shore of the Great Salt Lake protecting 2,225 acres of bird habitat.
What runners say about Legacy Nature Preserve
“Fantastic place to see wildlife, with large collections of birds, and gorgeous reflections off the many ponds at sunset.”
“such a peaceful wetlands area so close to the hustle and bustle of the wasatch front.”
Beautiful place to visit. Great place to take a walk and learn a lot about different birds.
The trail at Legacy Nature Preserve is a great place to get some peaceful exercise. Crews made a mess of it this week though when they mowed the weeds from the sides of the trail which layed out a nice layer across the entire trail. No one returned to finish the job.
It's got a nice trail but not a lot of protection from the wind or the noise from traffic. I usually park at 500 South in Bountiful, which is right close to my work.
Such a beautiful, quite and flat area great for bicycles and a nice walk. Scenery is very nice! The trail doesn't offer any cover. Recommended.
