Confirmed from Mountain View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

If you don't mind the hum of the electric powerlines overhead (you can literally hear them) this a great, well-kept park. Beautiful green space. Shaded picnic tables. Parking lot for access to the legacy trail. Restrooms. Fun playground with swings and a super fun teeter totter swing.

Newer park with BIG bowery (rent from the city) with large parking lot, and smaller covered picnic tables near playground. Gorgeous mountain views, with access to the legacy parkway trail. New playground equipment and a soccer field.

★★★★☆ — Ken , Sep 2016

The park is directly under several paths of high power electric lines. There's a nice sized field, a decent playground, but if the power lines ever had an issue there's only one way in or out of the park and that would potentially be along the path of where a downed wore would be.

★★★★☆ — Paul , Mar 2024

I have been searching for a park to be able to walk around in circles. This park is great for that. Also right next the the legacy trail. Very nice. Has some bathrooms. Kids play place looks fun. Only bad thing is the bugs during bug season.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
