Confirmed from Mill Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly hiking area with a lake and trails for walking, biking, and running.
What runners say about Mill Creek Trailhead
Partially shaded trail that loops back on itself on its way up the mountain. Bicycles, dogs, and horses are also allowed on the trail. Family friendly, but not stroller friendly.
A charming walk to bountiful Lake, and a 1-mile walk around. In snow, the lake freezes and attracts skaters and ice fishermen. Lots of birds year round.
I took this picture on this trail August 31, 2025. It’s probably one of my favorite pictures I’ve ever taken. The second picture is not my favorite, but I still took it using the same trail 😂😂😁
Perfect location if you enjoy biking, running, or even just walking the legacy parkway trail. Bring a friend, camera, and a snack.
