Confirmed from Lehigh Greenway Rail Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved hiking and biking trail in a scenic area with wildlife, benches, and a dog park.
What runners say about Lehigh Greenway Rail Trail
“It’s very scenic and a great place for walking, running or bike riding.”
“Pretty fun bike ride and good shade where the girls rode.”
I really like this trail. It’s very scenic and a great place for walking, running or bike riding. The nature is great here and I love the opportunities to explore. If you respect the wildlife you will be fine as you will be in the territory of alligators, snakes, and other creatures native to Florida.
This is my favorite riding trail to date. I live in Port Orange and drive 25 mins to ride this trail. It is well paved with benches to stop and rest throughout. It has places to stop and enjoy the beauty. There are restrooms at the tennis courts and a dog park. There are bike tools and air pumps as well.
Outstanding paved pathway!! Mostly shaded and plenty of space to walk our Doodle!! Easy access and plenty of parking.
I really like this trail as much for what there is around it as for the trail itself. The trail is a nice place to walk or ride. One part is a long boardwalk. Around the trail in almost all directions there are wide walking/riding paths to get to shopping areas and neighborhoods.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
