Confirmed from Lehigh Valley Railroad Rail Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Lehigh Valley Railroad Rail Trail
“It’s very well maintained, clean , and appears safe, with emergency stations at regular intervals.”
I was surprised how great this trail is! You’d barely know it’s next to a rail yard. It’s very well maintained, clean , and appears safe, with emergency stations at regular intervals. Dogs are permitted, a huge plus. Great for jogging, cycling, even saw a roller blader recently.
My newly adopted four-year-old Siberian Husky and I grabbed a quick hike down the Lehigh Valley Trail late yesterday afternoon. The trail was wide and very clean and for that we were grateful! We definitely will return to go past the Thruway overpass. Until then....
Today was my first time there and I'll definitely be back. The trail is paved and clean. It's right in between houses and railroad tracks but it's very private with fencing and bushes on both sides. I noticed some emergency phones every now and then which is comforting.
Clean, wide, great for walks, runs, skating. Bring the kids and fur babies
