Confirmed from Lettuce Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“A beautiful, peaceful hike on a trail where nature whispers in your ear compelling you to slow down and enjoy life.”

It’s a great park if you’re looking to enjoy a wild, natural atmosphere. The trails are well maintained and perfect for walking your dog. We saw many people walking, jogging, and enjoying picnics with their families. You’ll likely need to use the boardwalk to see alligators, but unfortunately dogs aren’t allowed there.

Beautiful well taken care of park. Lots of trails to walk. The boardwalk was great. Clean stocked bathrooms. Lots of shade everywhere.

This is such a beautiful park!! It’s been several years since I’ve been here, and they have brand new playgrounds with turf. The boardwalks have been redone. The trails are very well kept. As of today (1/14/26) the observation tower was not accessible - it’s still being rehabbed from the flood I’m assuming.

It was a good walk around a nice park on a nice day! My only complaint is the east side of the park kind of runs into a big business building and some commercial noise. I know there's not much they can help for that but, for a ln entree fee and conservation park it was unexpected.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
