Confirmed from Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“What a beautiful little hideaway beach area overlooking the 'tilted' lighthouse in yhe water!”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

Such a beautiful place that me and my beautiful wife decided to get married here. The scenery, the driftwood, the lighthouse, the water, and the sunset. Could not be more breathtaking. The place we decided to "tie the knot" was called "The Washout"! Definitely worth the long walk to reach this spot.

We visited at noon on a Tuesday in March. We're from out of town and I thought you could just drive up to the beach. Silly me. It's a half mile walk from the parking area down the graffiti road. The beach is breathtaking once you get there.

Beautiful! The walk out was cool and interesting to see all the art on the pavement! The lighthouse with the Arthur Ravenel Bridge in the background was a bonus. We relaxed and enjoyed the view. It was also not windy there even though it was very windy on the other beaches!

Absolutely beautiful. There is free street parking during the day if you can get there early enough and there is also a paid parking lot nearby. The beach is gorgeous, and the "Graffiti Walk," that's just under a half mile paved trail leading to the shoreline showcases some fantastic works of art and a vibrant path…

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 16 mentions

“The lighthouse is within view and there are many dead trees scattered about that give it a stark beauty.”
