Confirmed from Limestone greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Limestone greenway

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“This trail is very shady and have a very nice dayou have a very nice day to stay cool”

This is a nice extension of the Clear Creek Trail. Very well maintained. They are adding wood fences along the areas where there are drop offs. It goes past the water treatment plant, and you will smell it before you see it. Nice views.

★★★★★ — Jay , Mar 2021

The South Extension of the Clear Creek Trail is my go-to spot for a relaxing walk. The 4-mile route is just right—enough to stretch my legs without feeling too long. Plus, in the fall, the leaves are absolutely beautiful. It's not fancy, just a great trail to enjoy nature.

★★★★★ — Breanna , Oct 2023

I really like this trail except on days when the stench of sewage is bad. Wish the treatment site was not adjacent.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 7 mentions

“Heading south from Church Ln will offer some incredible Fall views!”
