Confirmed from Little Buttermilk Bay Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Little Buttermilk Bay Woods
“Great little trail with water & sand beautiful!”
A great place for walks and light hikes. Includes some steeper areas to push it a little more and get some real exercise in. Though not miles of trails, you can do different loops and easily get 1.5-2 miles in, more if you don't mind repeating loops. Very nice scenery, especially along the shore.
This is a nice little area to go for a walk. There are two trails, the main and longest circles around a small hill, and the other cuts across, going over the hill. Walking at the pace of my 11-year old Bull Mastiff, the longest trail took about 30 min .
Nice clear and clean walking paths ,great for the beginner trail walker. Not too technical but beautiful views.
A wonderful little hike with an observation area. Some sections are a little steep but not too difficult.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
