Confirmed from Little River Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverside park with swings and picnic tables, plus a water park for kids.
What runners say about Little River Park
“Always seems to be well kept and managed.”
A great place to sit and relax while walking the Greenway trail along the river in hopkinsville.
The smell of the Formosa trees. A little river. Trees that are older than you. A once known major railroads the ICG and the Tennessee Railroad. I seen a fox today cross the trail. You'll see deer, groundhog, beavers, all kinds of birds and a occasional snake or two. This is life on the trail.
Nice quiet place to get in touch with the outdoors right in the middle of town. Always check to see if the river is up before you go. "If possible ",or the Riverside trails will be under water. Also have a new walking trail "Paved " , that runs from the park for a mile or two through that side of town. Awesome!
Loved walking the dogs along the river and hearing the water! Very nice path for bikes and everything.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- Distance15 mi as reported — check whether that is one way or a round trip before you commit. Long enough for a real long run.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
