Confirmed from Westside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Very nice walk. We ride our bikes and it's wonderful. The playground is a nice break. Many places to stop and sit for a minute. So calming. Feels like an escape from your day. We love it here

Nice little park. Has a creek running around it that has like a little dam under a walking bridge that makes it very peaceful and relaxing. Good place to take family.

Very nice and well kept, I wish there were more water fountains! However, its well shaded for alot of the walk.

★★★★★ — Kendra , May 2020

Small and near a busy street, but clean and well maintained. Also right on the Hopkinsville walking trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 5 mentions

“It's a safe area you have plenty of playground for kids & a restroom this area is picked up weekly & more if necessary.”

Plan your run at Westside Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • Distance15 mi as reported — check whether that is one way or a round trip before you commit. Long enough for a real long run.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
