Confirmed from Little Walden Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Little Walden Nature Trail
“Everything is beautiful, but tree roots interfered with my hiking, and I was tripping up.”
“Lots of natural woods with quiet and beautiful spots to stop and take it all in.”
“The park is always beautifully maintained and has fun for all ages.”
Beautiful trail with a pond, creek, and several rock cabins. About half a mile, and dog friendly.
It was a very short trail. I was expecting longer but it was fun nonetheless! It’s attached with a small parking lot in front of a house. Not sure if it’s a public building or just someone’s home 😂 some would get confused drive down the actual trail that’s off to the right of the house.
I love love love Tanglewood. It is such a beautiful and serene place to visit. Lots and lots of space for everyone and everything. The park is always beautifully maintained and has fun for all ages. You can walk, bike, paddle boat or just kick back. There's golf, tennis, volley ball and even horse back riding.
Plenty of parking, short walk, beautifully maintained, pretty wildflowers. Do be careful for roots and rocks, glance at the trail map, I used a long twig to hold in front of me because there were many spider webs!

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
