Confirmed from Lloyd Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Lloyd Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (545 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Very clean and has nice little picnic areas.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 5 mentions

“Beautiful dog park! We love the wooded s trail along the stream to walk through with the pups when we visit from out of town.”

Best dog park in the county. Very rare to run into an agressive dog / negligent owner. Lots of room to roam; acres of open fields, wooded path along the creek, and several spots for dogs (and people) to wade into the water. Not fully fenced, so dogs must be trusted off leash to fully enjoy.

I love this dog park! One important point to keep in mind is that it is not really fenced in. It's imperfectly lined with shrubbery, but there is a big opening not far from the entrance gates and no real boundaries at all at some other parts.

Great off leash dog park! I got a little nervous because it's not completely fenced in. There is a creek that runs along the entire park for the dogs to play in the water. My pup took a dive from a cliff about 5 ft up, and had never swam before, but he LOVED it!

We love coming to this dog park. The space is huge and includes a creek and some wood trail areas by the creek. The place is not fully fenced in, it relies on natural boundaries, so not the best for escape artists. There is so much space though.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 58 mentions

“There is also a dog park that is a good place to take your dog if they are good with other dogs that are off leash.”

“Your dog might likely get muddy, though, but they will definitely have a lot of fun.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
