Confirmed from Brandywine Meadows Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Brandywine Meadows Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (143 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Shaded and well-maintained.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Wonderful park with large network of trails, some great views (particularly before foliage blooms later this spring) all set around the historic brandywine creek.”

It's fun but you need to get to know it. There are two trails, the paved one that still needs some intervention from the flooding and the one along the creek that is more interesting.

Great trails for walking, biking, or dog walking. A blacktop trail and a dirt trail following the river gives a nice option depending on your abilities. Plenty of wildlife; ducks, herons, deer, turtles, and others. Lots of cool plants and fungi like nettles and honey mushrooms. Nice big parking lot.

Awesome trails snuggled against the Brandywine Creek. Hooks up to the Strueble Trail and the Valley Forge Trail if you're up for and abbe curtis home or bike ride. If you like to Kayak or canoe, this is a great place to start your trip. The views along the way are gorgeous.

Great area for family and pets. Great for walking, riding bikes, tubing , playing in the water or just enjoying nature. Main trail is paved but there are other fun dirt trails to explore as well!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
