Confirmed from Longo Open Space's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Longo Open Space

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (22 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“VERY SCENIC ESPECIALLY IN THE FALL.”

Definitely a really cool area to let your dog run around there is also a view where were you can watch the sunset. Also a small vista as well. I followed the map on the alltrails app and it took me around in a complete Loop it was about an hour to go around I also found a cool little shed hidden in the woods.

This is a great place to take your dogs go for a bike ride or hike. Definitely make sure you respect the farmers wishes and don't walk through the middles of the fields during a season or on his crops.

★★★★★ — David , Feb 2021

A beautiful open space for a walk. Beware of dogs that may be off leash. Proper footwear is recommended as well. Check for ticks/bring bug spray as there are often tall grasses in places.

★★★★★ — Kristin , May 2023

A favorite local place to take our dog for a walk. Several trails on property but particularly love doing the loop around the field.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
