Confirmed from Shoddy Mill-Coon Hollow's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Shoddy Mill-Coon Hollow
“Gorgeous hike with plenty of well marked trails.”
There is off street parking once you get to this location and you will see the trailhead. It's about an hour walk it's got a couple uphill parts a pond in the back which is pretty nice. Definitely a beautiful walk. There is also a stream that runs through the beginning part of it. It does go in a loop.
Gorgeous hike with plenty of well marked trails. Although there are some single track that aren't marked, it is from my experience that if you don't panic and stay the course you will eventually end at a road which is clearly visible. Pay heed to No trespassing posts and you'll be fine.
There's a small area you can park on the side of the road. Short trail about a mile long, great for running or hiking.
It's a cute trail, but there are a lot of downed trees to watch out for. There are a good amount of longer hidden trails as well so it makes for an interesting place to explore. It also includes some decent sights and water features.
