We went on a weekday. You have to pay 6$ Park fees. Although on the weekdays during morning hours, there is never a park ranger. Paying is an honor system. They have a pay station right at the entrance. You can walk, run, bike, and watch bird. There is a dog park too.
This is a really good trail both for walking as well as running. It goes through Vasona park which is very spacious and has plenty of space for roaming around. It also goes through Los Gatos downtown where there are plenty of nice cafes restaurants and coffee shops.
Very nice location to go hiking with your kids and furbabies. I see family/people going for a scooter and bikes. You could go fishing 🎣and have a picnic too. Lots of parking is available for everyone.
Good trail. Very busy. Lots of bikes and e-bikes, watch out! There are a few picnic spots towards the los gatos end.
