Confirmed from Loyd Tingler Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxing area with trees, boardwalks, picnic benches and a lake, for fishing and turtle feeding.
What runners say about Loyd Tingler Park
“You can talk a walk across the lake on the boardwalk or around the lake & see some neighbors beautiful horses.”
“The thing about this place is it’s very quiet, nobody around, and hidden.”
Nice, hidden, quiet little park. You can talk a walk across the lake on the boardwalk or around the lake & see some neighbors beautiful horses. My husband & I loved it, along with all the birds he was taking pictures of.
I hate that this has been added to Google maps. Only because it's been a hidden oasis for a few years now. Has over 50 turtles that will swim up to you in hopes for a treat. Just today I saw almost 100 fish gather around the wooden boardwalk with gazeboo in the middle.
It's a hid'n piece of nature, Boardwalk is under repair right now but it's a nice place to relax 😉👍
Not necessarily a park, but more of a pond with a dock crossing. The thing about this place is it’s very quiet, nobody around, and hidden. It’s more of a horse walkthrough but anyone can go there. There are several trails to and from this place. I like to go here because it’s quiet and there’s nobody around.

Plan your run at Loyd Tingler Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
