This park in winter is beautiful too. Few people except for off-leash dog park. In Mercer Island they don’t have a leash ordinance so many on the parks don’t require dogs on leash. They must have good recall tho! Luther Burbank does have dogs leashed in areas like swimming 🏊♀️ and playgrounds most of the park.
Luther Burbank Park is an awesome spot to hang out, especially on a sunny day. The off-leash dog area has a little beach where dogs can splash in the lake, and there’s even a rinse-off station to clean them up afterward. Great walking trails, picnic tables, and a peaceful shoreline with views of Lake Washington.
This is the most beautiful park I have ever seen in the Mercer Island. There are a lot of things to visit in this park. There are kid's playground, tennis courts, restrooms, picnic areas, many parking lots, dog area without leashing. You can take a quick nap in the beautiful green grass along the lake area.
The view is lovely, and there's ample parking. The trails are good, though the park feels somewhat undermaintained and dated in places, particularly the trail markings, restrooms, and playground.
