Confirmed from Lyman Staging Area & Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Nice easy trail, lots of shade nice on hot days oddly very little breeze.”

Nice hiking trail, it's about 2 1/2 miles at a normal pace can take you an hour or less of hiking, two hours back and forth. There's a lot of green areas where you can rest and take pictures. There's always friendly people hiking.

Beautiful paths for hiking and enjoying the flora & fauna of Southern California !

Graffiti everywhere, all the signs had writing on them so much that you cant see what they said. Plan out your path since there's a couple connecting trails. But not a bad place to hike. Found hardly any people on a weekday here. HOWEVER, we came here for a mountain bike trail... not the case.

This is always a fun place to come and hang out and relax. Sometimes I just come to have lunch and read the paper A lot of times. I'll come here. Do the trails in the walk and the loop around here, but that's the only one on a good day.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
