Confirmed from Walnut Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational open space for hiking with trails, shady paths and a creek.
What runners say about Walnut Creek Trail
“It was so beautiful if you need to find peace ☮️ hiking is highly recommended first time and I loved it 😍”
“Super shady if u stay by the water but there’s a great short hike if you choose to go up the mountains!”
Great hiking trail to bring dogs, and family. This trails connects to the Antonovich trail and the valley staging trail. Almost the whole trail has shade. Great view before and after sunset!
Beautiful short hike with some pretty water trails. Plenty of shade and decent amount of parking. Parking is free. Bring waterproof shoes or an extra pair of socks incase your feet get soaked. It’s a popular trail so there will be alot of people.
This trail hides society pretty well. The landscape makes you feel like you are in Jurassic Park at times. At some points you are at the back of some large houses but it hardly takes away from the scene. Unfortunately, there is some graffiti at some spots (if you can call it that).
My daughter and I really enjoyed it!!! Is a long trail but we loved walking under the trees! No sunny at all!

“I would also recommend to wear long pants when hiking since they are Poison oak everywhere and bath your dog when you get home but so far amazing trails.”
