Confirmed from MacDonald Woods Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It's usually pretty quiet here and the trail is nice as well!”

We made some squirrel friends the other day at MacDonald Woods Park lol! We've gone here a few times. There was some sand and debris in the park from the recent rain storms, but otherwise it's a really nice park and we have a lot of fun every time we go. It's usually pretty quiet here and the trail is nice as well!

Really cool playground with a sandpit and a smaller kids area too. They have the rubber padding all over the area too! Nice to walk on.

Let me preface this review with saying- we love us some triangle parks! This park is so cool! My kids are 5 & 3 and they love this park. It has a sand pit (their fave), a play set, swings, a see saw, and those spinner chair things. Lots of places to sit, highly recommend! Lots of places to walk!

Love the park, I just wish there was more than street parking. Little kids and traffic always makes me nervous but once you get to the park all that is forgotten. It's wonderfully shaded and with trees and has lots of space and different things for the kids to play with.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
