Great place for a walk though the woods. The path is well maintained with a nice soft wood chip surface and raised wooden walkways where the path is subject to standing water. There some good climbs where the path uses timber to make steps. All the trails are well marked and nicely shaded with tall trees.
This has a nice children’s nature play area, classroom, trails on both east and west sides. Trails are covered with mulch, some stairs for up and down, at some places wooden boards for an easy walk, lovely observation lookouts for birds and Hemlocks. We saw owl, eagle, deers.
Wonderful park with nice elevation in the south of Cary. Several overlook areas and the paths are well demarcated and easy to pad through. Dogs welcome. You are actually required to be quiet/ not loud, which I appreciated.
This is probably the best trail that my kids and myself has gone on. You really are surrounded by nature and all of its beauty. Please read the info about the copperhead snakes and safety. *Be careful on the stairs*
