Confirmed from MacIntyre Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular park featuring disc golf, kids' playground equipment and swings, plus grassy areas.
What runners say about MacIntyre Park
“The disc golf course is pretty great too, very well maintained and used a lot.”
“Gorgeous park right near downtown Thomasville with a winding creek throughout the property.”
“Mix of shade and sun, bridges, multiple pavilions, and a playground for those with kids.”
Now this is a park. So far, its been one of the most intereating in Thomasville with a creek that has its rivulets throughout the park. Mix of shade and sun, bridges, multiple pavilions, and a playground for those with kids. Great clean area overall for a walk
I love McIntire park. The city does a great job maintaining it, and I particularly enjoy the disc golf course. There there is a great mix of playground equipment, including a zipline for children that is very popular. The park has plenty of trees and very nice spaces to enjoy.
The disc golf park of Thomasville. One of the nicer, less known parks in town. Located at walking distance from downtown and from the Big Oak. Several small brooks run through the park, so there's plenty of wildlife, amphibians, fish and even some banded water snakes.
Very shaded Park noce for hot days. Beautiful trees. Kids love the zip line the best. Nice little creek. And play area it's just right place to go.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
