We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Wolf Creek Trout Lily Preserve yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Scenic

To the person below who rated two stars due to the preserve forbidding pets: this place is not a playground. It is a well maintained sanctuary with very specificly denoted paths, which helps preserve the sensitive, small plants that cover the ground. This is not a place for dogs to run around and tear up.

There is a small window in the mid to late February to see the Trout Lilies. The tiny gems have a bloom that has got to be witnessed. The volunteers are funny, professional and a delight to be around. This is one of my all time favorite late winter field trips. Thank you for hosting such a natural gem.

Nice hike in a beautiful place. We came at the end of the season for the trout lilies but still got to enjoy these gorgeous flowers and plants

Nice trails through Preserve. Can get a little boggy. Wear shoes for mud.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
