Confirmed from Mad Hatter Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Mad Hatter Trail Head
Mad hatter is one of my favorite trails. The upper half can all be rolled but there is a medium sized drop and step up at the end of the trail. Very well built.
Some of my favorite trails in the area. Can’t recommend parking at the trailhead. Too small. But parking at the veterans park makes for a short climb up. Be sure not to miss the wonderland/tv/area 51 side of things too.
Ace of spades is a twisty run with small drops and jumps that starts with a nice jump. Mad Hatter drop is a must. Sally is no Sally. It is an above average blue run.
Definitely nice trails for those that love adventure on their bike. Finding the rv was fun.
Trail conditions & character
“Parking near the trail head is slim but interconnected trails and roads can lead to it.”
