Confirmed from Malcolm Terrace Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful spot for kids to run around and play, featuring swings, a playground, slides and a volleyball court.
What runners say about Malcolm Terrace Park
“Relatively well maintained trails, gravel lined, short but pretty walk.”
“it was quiet nice and we were there 3 hours and we do not live anywhere near there.”
Enjoyed a visit to this peaceful park. It has benches, a playground, restrooms, sand Volleyball, and trails. I plan to return when I have time to walk the trails. The parking area is small for a park with sand Volleyball.
I love taking walks in the patch of woods that is this Park's dominant feature. Large enough to lose yourself in, without ever getting lost. The bathrooms are open year round, clean, and well maintained. There's a shelter for picnics, plenty of seats, and jungle gyms for kids.
Took my kids here spur of the moment. Spent a couple hours letting them run around. Perfect location if you need a break from the hospital. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Slides, swings, volleyball net. I will definitely bring the kids back.
Relatively well maintained trails, gravel lined, short but pretty walk. Adorable free library and rocking chairs at the beginning of the trail. Nice little side adventures to be had along the trail.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
