We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Malone Rec Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Gazebos, sitting benches, picnic tables,, large wood playset, tennis courts, and a walking trail across the pond. Very nice! The geese are on the pond now. The trail is lighted for evening walk.

My husband and I love coming here for picnics, walks, and the fireworks in the Summer. It is so well maintained and you can tell that the people who take care of this park really Care about the park. Full of activities for families, but also a peaceful and quiet place for adults with books.

I had not walked the trail for more than a year but today was a beautiful day to do so. It is such a lovely, peaceful place to be. I was, however, disappointed to see that all the trail lights have been taken down. I hope the plan is to replace them.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
