Confirmed from Nicandri Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Nicandri Nature Center
“They have water bottle refill station and clean facilities.”
“It's always beautiful, but in the summer the flowers are the stars of the show.”
“Miles of walking / hiking trails surround the nature center with well groomed trails, interactive signs & clearly marked blazes .”
“They host several programs throughout the year to highlight the flora + fauna that inhabits the area + provide an educational experience for all ages.”
Spent the afternoon wandering around the Nicandri Nature Center with my mini. The trails are well maintained. Our favorite parts were the turtles, trails, and gigantic chess board. The trails are easy enough for Littles. We even saw a bald eagle on picking trail along the river.
Very friendly and welcoming staff who are happy to answer questions and/or show you the animals and fish. We got to take a stroll with a turtle on his daily walk. Well marked and maintained nature trails of varying lengths. Guided tours are available. The whole facility is spotless and well maintained.
Enjoyed a nice visit on a Sunday. The center itself was relatively crowded with families and parking was very limited (although I might've missed overflow parking, if there is any.) I did a brief swing through the center.
An awesome place to take the family , whether it's in the winter for cross country skiing , the spring to walk the trails + discover the beauty of nature that surrounds us or in the summer to check out the exhibits+ escape the heat.
