Confirmed from Manorhaven Preserve and Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Manorhaven Preserve and Nature Trail
“Beautiful nature preserve on the water in Manorville.”
Short trail- about 0.4kms(one way)..open from dawn to dusk...end point is in Manorhaven Town Park..completely muddy and flat ! Beautiful and serene..totally surrounded by trees and plants....!! 😊😊 There are 2-3 spots where one can sit and relax for sometime.
Beautiful nature preserve on the water in Manorville. The village, in cooperation with several local ecological groups has recently given the preserve a face lift by removing invasive plants (especially English Ivy) and planting hundreds of native plants including a Mother Orchid of native American Chestnut. Gorgeous!
Former Mayor Gary Pagano spearheaded the development of this park back in the mid 90’s and should be recognized for his efforts. I was employed by the Village back then, and it is a fact. We were constantly removing illegal aliens from the wooded area along the north side waterfront.
Trail conditions & character
“Most trails are very easy to use, short and flat but wheelchair access on the trails is a challenge.”
