Confirmed from Mapleton Walking Path's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Mapleton Walking Path

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (33 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“Gorgeous views, no cars traveling along it, just at the crosswalks.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

“You'll enjoy it if you bring good company or just want some peace and quiet.”

What a great place to walk or ride a bike! You can even roller blade, hover board, etc. The weeds are trimmed back and the path we'll paved and upkeep is impeccable! It's far enough out of the city nestled near the mountains. Just a beautiful peaceful place to go! I highly recommend going here!

A nice trail that is well kept, paved, and about 13 miles long from Rotary Park in Hobble Creek Canyon to the south end near Spanish Fork. There's future plans to have the trail connect with Spanish Fork's river trail eventually, but for now it just ends randomly near Spanish Fork canyon.

Love this trail! It's excellent to walk, rollerblade or bike this trail. The trail is relatively flat and the scenery is nice. You can follow it to the end which is approximately where the windmills start at the base of the canyon to Price.

★★★★★ — Rebecca , Jun 2021

The path is 5.25 miles long. It extends between the mouths of Hobble Creek Canyon and Spanish Fork Canyon. It's well paved and not a lot of elevation change. There are a few road crossings, but generally keeps you away from traffic.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 13 mentions

“There are a few benches along the path (about every mile or so) with lovely views.”
