Overall a great place to go. I prefer going earlier in the day before the crowds. It gets super crowded in the summer, almost overkill especially during summer prime hours. We need like 5 of these locations! :) It's nice though because you can visit year round.
Really fun little place. Some pavilions, grass, sand/beach, dock for boats, fishing, swimming and more. The fishing around the edges has a lot of seaweed so it’s not that fun for little kids. Parking is $15 per day unless you have a pass from the city. Has a track around that is fun to walk/run/ or ride around.
Pebble sand beach runs in front of the water. Each of the 3 pavilions cover multiple picnic tables. The walking path is great for scooters, walking and running. Water is calm enough for kids to learn to kayak, canoe, or paddle board. Fishing is easy access from the grassy sides.
Small reservoir with fish, ducks, and seagulls. There's a paved walking trail around the reservoir that connects to a bike trail beside the road, a beach on one side, some covered pavilions (which need to be reserved ahead of your visit), snack shack, and clean restrooms.
