Confirmed from Marine Park Salt Marsh Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve with picnic tables, a public restroom, and a nature center, plus opportunities for hiking.
What runners say about Marine Park Salt Marsh Nature Trail
“The playground is great for kids, and the walking, biking, and playing areas are all well-maintained.”
“Beautiful visitor center, bathrooms are available but dirty, however there was an event here today with over 200 people.”
“This trail is a hidden gem right within the city — the moment you step onto it, you feel like you’ve left the noise behind and entered a peaceful escape into nature.”
This is a great flat, about a mile trail. My senior dog and baby can do it just fine. It has a gravel path so either baby carry or use a jogger - not regular stroller. Mosquitos ABOUND once it's warm out, there are also ticks. Dress accordingly.
Very cool place. Plenty of parking across the street from the trail/park. It’s free to park which is great. We got there pretty early on a Saturday but by the time we left the parking lot was packed. There’s a few different trails. It was really nice. Clean and well maintained. We took our dog.
I really enjoyed this park. Came here on a pleasant day in February. Very peaceful & full of nature. Did a few trails. 🦋 great walk with yourself or anyone. 🦋 saw bikes , people walking their dogs, families, kids, etc 🦋 You can rent kayaks in the Marine Park.
If you're up for a leisurely stroll, you might consider spending less than half an hour on the trail. This won't be anything too strenuous, just a pleasant walk where you can soak in the natural beauty around you. Take your time to listen to the sound of the wind and feel its gentle breeze on your skin.
