Some of the most beautiful Forest in the midwest! If you're planning a trip to the Ozarks you should definitely take some time to see places like dogwood canyon and Mark Twain national Forest. You will not be disappointed! Happy trails everyone
The area along the Castor River near Fredericktown Missouri is one of the more beautiful places I've been to in a very long time. The wonderfully shaded trail opens up to reveal a place where the river cuts through the rocks and forms a small waterfall.
Absolutely awesome any time of the year. Free camping, hunting, hiking, fishing, exploring, horseback riding, biking, off road, ohv etc etc .. an amazing National Forest right here in Missouri. So many sections from the middle of the state to the southwest .. Mark Twain National Forest land everywhere.
This national first is a great find in Missouri, from beautiful hiking trails, to long rivers, and camp grounds. We went on a 5 mile hike and enjoyed every minute of it. Tons of trees to keep you shaded from the sun and a clean park to explore. We camped out and got to see the stars miles away from the city.
