Confirmed from Martin Luther King Jr. Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a pond with ducks, picnic areas, a playground, walking trails, and a meadow.

We called it Lakewood Park when I was a kid and it's still the name of the street. Still has the creaky bench swings I always loved, the paths through the woods (which I thought were really long as a kid but adult me can tell they aren't that long), and the ducks!
Small park. Only 10 mins to walk around. Very peaceful. About 5 benches and a few swinging benches. Couple pavilions for events. Ducks, geese. Try to avoid feeding birds bread, it has very little nutrients for them. Corn and oats would be better.
This is a nice park. It’s clean, has restrooms and has a lot of shaded areas. Beware there are lots of mosquitoes. We saw some turtles in the water, as well as some ducks.
Visiting NC and decided to bring the Gkids to the park. Beautiful park area with a small lake area, 2 playgrounds, picnic areas for kids parties and hiking trails.
