Nice morning walk. Entrance located just off Quinaquisette Ave. Limited parking; about 8-10 spots depending on puddles and how others are situated. Trails are nicely kept and have some variety in elevation but markings are sparse. Use an overhead map before going in to have an idea of their layout.
Nice river side paths great for hiking or observing the local wildlife. Parking areas at the north and south end. Trail run about two miles along the river,lots of minor elevation change. Mostly pine barrels. Dog friendly.
Made a mistake on our hike in terms of mapping and directions…why? Because I wasn’t thinking, didn’t pay close attention to my phone info and didn’t download map, didn’t pay attention to compass info, and I was lazy.
It’s a nice hike, however lots of garbage on the trail. I was able to pick up some but didn’t want to get too involved on a short family hike with the kids.
